Harbour city largest municipal real estate owner

ROTTERDAM – Europe’s greatest harbour city owns the largest real estate portfolio of all the 450 municipalities in the Netherlands. Soon, the entire portfolio, including schools, recreation facilities, offices and investment properties such as abandoned or problem houses, will be managed by one agency so Rotterdam as its owner will achieve cost savings and better utilization. The portfolio is valued at about $3.5 billion.
