Marianne Vos to lead new Rabobank women’s team

RIJSWIJK - After 16 years of sponsorship Rabobank will extend this support to a women’s cycling team in 2012. The team will be built around multiple world champion Marianne Vos. The giant cooperative Rabobank finds starting a women’s team a logical step, given it already supports a wide range in the cycling sport. Besides the Rabobank ProTeam, the Offroad Team and the Continental Team, the women’s team makes the fourth branch of Rabobank Cycling Teams. Marianne Vos, a five-time European Champion runner up, is also happy with the Rabobank as a partner. The commitment is for the duration of at least two years. Rabobank will join Interpolis and Giant as sponsors of the team.
