Erasmus University again in top university programs

ROTTERDAM - The Erasmus University Rotterdam again has been rated by the prestigious Wall Street Journal as having one of the top twenty international university programs in the world. The MBA program of Erasmus University was in fourteenth place, one higher than in 2004.

The list of best Master of Business Administration institutes is headed once more by Lausanne, Switzerland-based IMD, the International Institute for Management Development. Second is Spanish Escuela Superior de Administración de Empresas ESADE. Well-known London Business School now ranks fifth (down three from last year’s second position).

Highest-ranking U.S. university is third-place Pittsburgh’s Carnegie Mellon University. The London-based Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, with its sixth place rates as the best Canadian university.

The Wall Street Journal’s annual list was first compiled in 2001. The 20-top international universities attracted corporate recruiters from four or more countries. The survey is based on the opinions and experiences of well over 3,000 M.B.A. recruiters and their perceptions towards business school talent, as well as the characteristics they consider most important when hiring graduates.
