Windmill 'De Graanhalm' 1847
Paper model – bouwplaat 1:100
by
The windmill is more than any other structure, the most popular identity symbol among Dutch immigrants and their offspring. Windmill replicas can be found throughout North America, including full-scale and fully operational mills in communities with a significant Dutch presence (Holland, Mi, Pella, IA, and Fulton, IL to name a few). Now that this model kit is available, windmill-enthusiasts of all ages no longer have an excuse for not developing their skills in building a miniature windmill. De Graanhalm dates from 1847, and belongs to the so-called scaffold variety of Zeeland grain mills. The paper model (quality light card stock) is rated for beginners. Instruction is in Dutch, German and English.
